The Old Symposium is an independent bookstore and community institute. Our mission as a bookstore is to provide a warm, engaging browsing experience with a curated selection aimed at bringing this big, wonderful and infinitely complex world into view. As a community institute, our mission is to bring together eclectic groups of people to read, think and learn together via community lectures, seminars, reading groups and collaborative partnerships.
